Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mackeldi AgriHub platform operated by Mackeldi Corporation Limited, a company registered in Kenya. Please read them carefully. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms
- By accessing or using Mackeldi AgriHub, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
- If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in Kenyan courts.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this platform.

User Accounts
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under it.
- Do not share your OTP codes or account credentials with anyone.
- Mackeldi reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

Marketplace Rules
- Sellers must accurately describe their produce, including quality grade, quantity, and GPS location.
- Fraudulent listings, misrepresentation of produce quality, or failure to fulfil confirmed orders may result in immediate account suspension.
- Buyers must honour confirmed orders. Repeated cancellations may result in account restrictions.
- Mackeldi is a marketplace facilitator and is not responsible for disputes between buyers and sellers, though we provide a dispute resolution process.

Payments
- Payments are processed via M-Pesa (Safaricom Daraja), Airtel Money, Paystack (card payments), and PayPal (international).
- Mackeldi does not store M-Pesa PINs, card numbers, or PayPal credentials.
- Transaction fees are disclosed at checkout before payment confirmation.
- Refunds for failed or disputed transactions are processed within 3–5 business days to your original payment method.
- All prices on the platform are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) unless otherwise stated.

Input Financing
- Loan-in-kind financing is subject to credit assessment and approval.
- Approved loans are disbursed as agricultural inputs (seeds, fertiliser, pesticides) from verified vendors.
- Repayment terms are agreed upfront. Failure to repay as agreed may result in account restrictions and reporting to the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Kenya.
- Interest rates and fees are disclosed in full before loan acceptance.

Prohibited Activities
- Using the platform for illegal activities under Kenyan law.
- Listing prohibited or controlled agricultural chemicals without proper licensing.
- Spam, harassment, or abusive behaviour toward other users.
- Attempting to circumvent payment systems or defraud other users.
- Using AI tools to generate or spread misleading agricultural advice.
- Scraping, reverse-engineering, or copying platform content without written permission.

AI Tools Disclaimer
- AI Disease Detection, Price Prediction, and Farming Advisory are provided as decision-support tools only.
- AI outputs are not a substitute for professional agronomic advice from qualified agronomists or KALRO extension officers.
- Mackeldi is not liable for crop losses or financial decisions made solely on the basis of AI tool outputs.
- Always verify AI recommendations with a qualified professional before taking action.

Intellectual Property
- All content, trademarks, logos, and technology on this platform are owned by Mackeldi Corporation Limited.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
- User-generated content (listings, forum posts, reviews) remains your property, but you grant Mackeldi a licence to display it on the platform.

Limitation of Liability
- Mackeldi is not liable for losses arising from transactions between users.
- We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or inaccurate AI predictions.
- Our total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to Mackeldi in the preceding 3 months.

Changes to Terms
- We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you via SMS or email for material changes.
- Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
- The current version of these terms is always available at mackeldi.com/terms.
